Our Approach To Coffee - How We Roast
We source and sample green beans from all over the globe, making sure our sourcing partners are as conscious of the coffee supply chain as we are.
We pick the best crops to achieve the flavour profiles we’re after, and a few ‘spesh’ lots for filter products and special release offerings.
We sample roast each origin several times to find its sweet spot using our fluid bed tech.
Once we’re 100% happy that we're getting the best out of each bean, we move to production roasting and handling. Everything we roast goes through a rigid quality control process which involves several cuppings to ensure consistency.
What is 'Fluid Bed' Roasting?
Roasted on AIR! We use an alternative and innovative technology, with beans being suspended in a ‘fluid bed’ by perfectly controlled hot air, to roast our beans to their sweet spot.
The result: consistent roasts that can reach more developed flavour profiles while eliminating acidity and burnt notes. With body for days, our coffee cuts through milk with ease while still delivering a very clean cup when enjoyed on its own.
